Well if you're a big fan of The Tragically Hip you'll be happy to hear that lead singer Gord Downey is going to try his luck on a solo album. That's right seems like everyone once in their musical career trys it on their own. So I guess this is the end of The Tragically Hip. Not likely, Gord had this to say "Being in this band for 15 years, I've known critical junctures and, no, I wouldn't say this is one." With a release date of March 6th (my birthday in case anyone cares) and a working title of Coke Machine Glow ( this guy thinks up some pretty weird stuff ) Gord recorded his album with Dale Morningstar and Dave Clark (Dinner Is Ruined), Steven Drake (The Odds) and Josh Finlayson (Skydiggers). Should be interesting to see what they come up with.
