The man with more hits than any other country music star (except George Jones) has died. A pioneer (with producer/guitarist Chet Atkins) of the Nashville Sound, he sold over 85 million records, charted with 147 songs, and had 28 number one hits, including the international hit "Make the World Go Away"...all making him one of the most successful country artist of all time.
