Our good buddy Jon Newton over at p2pnet.net has found himself in an unavoidable position: He has to sell his p2pnet.net baby. We remember when he first started the site up and have seen him grow it to the ultimate site for news about file-sharing and the entertainment industry's bumbling ways. The starting bid is a cool $30,000, and this comes with the complete domain as a going concern.

We're sad to see him go and hope that he suddenly wins the lottery so he can take it off the auction block. He's been a leading voice in the fight against DRM and the other unpalletable things the entertainment industry is trying to force on the consumer and has done incredible good for those directly affected by the RIAA & MPAA. Hopefully the new owners of the site can carry on where he left off in the clear & level-headed way that Jon has developed.
