Pandora's music streaming service is nothing short of amazing. One can discover all kinds of new music just by keying in ones favourite bands & artists. It's software is able to associate different bands & songs with each other by using some form of voodoo (it's true, I got one of the founders drunk one night and he told me). I listen to it regularily at work. Of course, you are not able to save the music to your harddrive, though why you would want to is beyond me. It's radio quality but not close to CD quality. However, some people out there want the ability to save this music to their drives, so look up Pandora's Jar. It's claim to fame is allowing you to save these low-fi tracks onto your HD in MP3 format. It's quasi-legal at best, but an intersting hack. Thanks to The Digital Music Weblog for the info.
