Says Jeff Sanders of the project, "This record - lyrics, music and overall vibes is going to crush the material on "Voices"". He credits meditation and a deep affinity for paranormal phenomena and nature - not drugs - for the drugged, psychoactive sound of his music. "Sure, I've done enough drugs in my past to snuff out the Al-Qaeda. I've been in recovery now for three years, and its rewards have been beyond my imagination. It's all about the healing power of music. The spirits gave me the ability to make tripped out music. I'm not going to take that for granted. Now, if people like to smoke a little while listening to Mountain Mirrors, God bless 'em. I can relate." Guest musicians have collaborated with Sanders on songs for the forthcoming MM LP. Psychedelic Juggernaut Nick Bensen (http://www.freecitymedia.com) plays e-bow and bass on one track, and symphonic composer Derek Devore (http://www.ampcast.com/derekdevore) added orchestration to another track. "Hearing the magic those guys added to my music blew my mind." A full-length LP from Mountain Mirrors is slated for release by Summer, 2003. That something IS happening. It's all about the inner peace and how music can maintain that level of balance and at the same time, remind us all that music doesn't have to be aggressive to soothe the wild beast. It can be melodic, spacial and psychedelic."-December, 2002, Deanna St. Croix, Stoner Rock Chick - http://www.stonerrockchick.com ### Add your comment
