Los Angeles, California based ORGY nominated for “Outstanding Hard Rock Album”. After being quiet for the last couple years ORGY is alive and well with original line up: Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck, Paige Haley, Bobby Hewitt and Jay Gordon and they are sounding better than ever with their 3rd CD titled “PUNK STATIK PARANOIA”. Pundits have tagged the ORGY sound a number of ways (“Death Popper’s,” “electro-rock,” “industrial synth,” “sleaze rock,” “techno-goth”). But they all seemed to agree on one thing: Orgy’s brave new mix of prismatic synth lines, pulverizing guitar, and New Romantic vocal stylings is fresh and welcome. The music business is tougher than ever and this time around Orgy is doing it independently. Making the challenge all the more difficult. Adversity is nothing new to these guys and the miracle is in the works, including getting nominated by the California Music Awards is an indication that the struggle to get the new record in retail stores across the nation is already paying off. Changing from a major label to Independent label D1 Music has proven to be quite a challenge. This is a very difficult thing to accomplish, because of Orgy’s strong fan base from around the world and their undying support through all of the quite time, the guys decided to finish what they’d started in 2001 by going back into the studio and completing the new album. KORN and The Firm Management Company helped build this unit from the ground up, and the band is still very close to the members of KORN and will always be grateful to them for jump-starting their careers in the very tough music business.

Their 3rd CD is brilliant; taking some of the sounds and ideas from their 2 previous futuristic voyages the band landed with a harder, more powerful rock edge this time around. ORGY is gearing up for their first tour in almost 3 years headlining their own “PUNK STATIK PARANOIA TOUR” kicking off, April 20th in San Antonio, Texas for the ROCKON COORS LIGHT FEST with Papa Roach, during San Antonio’s Fiesta Festival. ORGY will be in a city or state near you soon, stay tuned……
