You like rock-n-roll? You like your rock down-n-dirty? Rock that hits below the belt? Then I've got a tip for you.....
DEVI's debut release, "Get Free", is a fabulous collection of rockin' songs from vocalist/guitarist Debra DeSalvo, bassist Dan Grennes, and drummer John Hummel, with Debra penning all the songs except the 2 cover tunes. The album kicks off in grand style with "Another Day" and eases into "When It Comes Down", which features some wicked guitar playing. "Runaway" - yes, the old Del Shannon song - comes up next and DEVI gives it a cool new twist. From there, it's "Howl at the Moon", opening with clean guitars and soaring vocal, sneaking in a sarod or sitar that bears a striking resemblance to a Mississippi slide blues guitar. Next up is "C21GH23N03" an angry song that features searing guitar solos, followed by "Demon in the Sack", and equally ferocious song with a hopping groove that'll have you moving in no time.
