Tinfoil.music is attempting to branch out a bit, and a fellow by the ID of dontcareaboutmyid is trying to take us there kicking and screaming. In this rant he deals with video game music, midi files, remixes and even a bit of political bickering behind the scenes. Interesting stuff and something I hope to see more of here at tinfoil.music! Hit Read More for his rant.

"Ever wanted to remix your favorite Video Game song? Unfortunately, we're not all prodigies like the OC Remix guys. Here's a video tutorial that will help you make a song you're proud of in less than 10 MINUTES!"

If you've ever been to www.OCRemix.org, or www.VGMix.com, and you've heard some of the works, you know that the music these guys and girls put out is awesome, for free stuff. They purchase high-end equipment and spend many hours, and days into their remixes, which should show why they'd be cheesed off at the program in question, Reason Adapted.

This program takes midi-files, which can be downloaded for free at vgmusic.com to name a site, and throws new instrument samples over the midi lines. Easy to do in a minutes after learning what to do.

If you watch the QuickTime, you'll hear a sample of what the TopaZ, the creator of the QuickTime tutorial, created. Crappy quality.

If someone were to wish to get into VG-mixing, this might be a first good step, but don't send the final creations to vgmix or ocremix. You'll be blacklisted in a heartbeat.
