Legal music downloading leaps in 2005

Paid music downloads through the internet have tripled in the U.S. in the first half of this year, compared to the same period in 2004 according to Nielsen SoundScan.

As a result, single-song downloads account for six per cent of overall music sales, up by four per cent compared to last year. More here.
