British music listeners with windows 2K and XP can take advantage of the service for $1.94 song downloads and full albums for $17.74. The subscription model is also again available with Napster for $17.74 a month which allows unlimited downloads. Its a mere $1.77 to burn songs or put songs on a mobile device from the subscription service. Track Packs are also provided which allow bundled songs for a fixed fee. $78.43 buys 50 tracks, $53.47 gets you 25 songs and $25.41 gets you 15 songs. The Napster library currently has 500,000 songs, however, CEO Chris Gorog promised another 200,000 songs in the next 30 days. The service also has the official UK charts for the last ten years and a pledge that all the listed songs would be available for purchase. With the kickoff there is a free seven-day trial subscription. The partnership with Dixons will see Napster branded CD-Rs and other accessories in the stores today as well as free copies of the Napsters jukebox/download/rip application. Samsung also released its Napster-branded portable digital music player, YH-920GS in the UK today. Napster president Brard Duea touted the service has a focus on choice meaning the service would support over 60 portable music players.
