This plea does NOT mean that I will shut down the site if my demands aren't met. It just means that it will make Mrs. Tinfoil and Tinfoil 2.0 happy if this little hobby of mine was partially paying for itself. Ok, so details. First, I've not named a price, nor does the payoff have to be in cold, hard cash. I'll take CDs, virtually anything that has buttons and lights, musical thingies. Tell me what you've got and I'll let you know how long the sponsorship is for. What does sponsorship get you? Why, you get exlcusive advertising rights on Tinfoil.music in two locations: The banner advertisement and the story-box ads. Ads can be any size within reason and can be images or flash. No sound allowed. You will also get an account setup in our ad-monitoring system to take a look at your ad performance. We will be keeping the Google advertising for now. Sponsors will not get any say over what we will and will not print on tinfoil.music, though if you've read the site for any length of time, you will see that there's not much we won't print. Why would you want to advertise on tinfoil.music? Our readership is skyrocketing. These past three months have been record-breaking for us, and this month we're on track to break through 100,000 views in a single month. Since July the views has increased by a minimum of 25% monthly and the yearly page views for 2005 are already well over 125% more than 2004, which was almost 200% more than 2003. Tinfoil.music is in the top 0.26% of the 24.1 million blogs worldwide, the top RIAA blog and one of the top music news blogs, all according to Technocrati. The site has been featured on ZDNet, Slashdot, BoingBoing, Metafilter, HardOCP, The Inquirer, MuchMusic and Fark, just to name a few. The site is one of the first members of the Creative Commons License initiative and is partners with a number of other music & p2p news websites. Tinfoil.music is also the premier site for interviews with some of the planets most talented guitarists. The Guitar Gods series of interviews is exclusive to tinfoil.music and has over 50 different guitar & bass players, all of whom are leaders in their fields. Tinfoil.music has been covering music news since 1997, P2P and Filesharing news since 1998 or 1999 and we're as unofficial and unprofessional today as we were back then! We'll accept sponsors from virtually anyone, though we may turn down porn sites. Not because I don't like that stuff, but because there are people under 18 reading the site.
