The counter was reset Feb 24th of 2001 back to 0, which translates into roughly 15,625 hits a month, 521 a day, 22 an hour. It pleases me greatly! I would like to especially thank the staff of this site as well as DrDevice over at DrD's #windows95 Page as well as Kyle and Steve over at [H]ardOCP and Chuck over at Fat Chuck's as well as Bill over at BarChord for sending alot of traffic this way. Recent months have seen a dramatic rise in both the number of registered users as well as the number of anonymous users surfing along, and we are close to hitting 25,000 hits a month. tinfoil.music originally started out as a single HTML file that was about 10-20 pages long and took about 2 minutes to load on a 14.4k modem back in '95. It quickly evolved to a more streamlined site in '96 which enjoyed little success with only about 10,000 hits in the year. After problems with my ISP I was forced to take it down until 2000 when it went back up in a static HTML format. After unsuccesfull attempts at using Slashcode, the software used to run slashdot (/.) I started using PHPNuke 4.0. The counter was reset in Feb 2001 when I upgraded to 4.3. The site started out as a links page for indie musicians and blossomed into what it is today with Chuck at fatchucks.com pushing me to include digital media news as well, for which I am greatful. So, post a comment below, tell us a little about yourself and what you like about the site and what you think needs to be changed. Also, next Wednesday at 9:00PM Eastern I invite all of you to fire up your favourite IRC client (mIRC for windows machines, SNAK for Mac, BitchX or xchat for *nix and *nux) and head over to #tmusic on the tinfoil.net server (tinfoil.net).
