Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads, who was killed in a tragic plane crash in March of 1982, was honored this month on "Rockwalk".

Rhoads was the guitarist who helped Ozzy launch his solo career after the infamous singer left Black Sabbath in the late 1970s. His fusion of classical music mentality & blues feel with heavy metal riffs and blistering modern lead guitar techniques not only broke new ground in rock music, but propelled Ozzy to the top of the charts.

Rhoads was honored with a bronze bust on Rockwalk...his sitting next to one of his idols, the legend Jimi Hendrix. Ozzy calls Randy Rhoads "the greatst guitarist who ever lived".
