Former Judas Priest drummer Dave Holland, who was with the band from 1979-1989 and performed on such albums as "Unleashed in the East" , "Screaming for Vengeance", and "British Steel", was convicted of attempted rape and indecent assault.

(hit READ MORE) The victim is an 18 year old special needs child who was taking drum lessons at Holland's home (the child was 17 at the time). The boy's name has not been given for legal reasons, according to the BBC.

The incidents were said to have taken place at Holland's home when the youngster spent the night on several occassions, and were related in a December 2002 letter to his parents describing the abuse. Holland has consistently denied the charges and was visibly upset at the verdict.

Holland now awaits sentencing.
