The IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) has announced today that it is suing 24 more people in Denmark for trading music online with more lawsuits expected in Britian, France and Sweden.

This new round of lawsuits brings the number of claims filed by various music industry bodies to just over 3,200.

Jay Berman, IFPI's chief bottle washer says that it is inevitable that other countries would be involved. Berman goes on to say that Japan is likely the next target due to sliding sales figures. Of course, poor sales can't be explained by fewer quality new releases. Of course.

'On the strength of the developments in Denmark, Germany and Italy, we can confirm there will be more legal actions in other countries in the near future,' states Berman.

The industry blames the extensive online trade of free music for contributing to a massive slide in recorded music sales. File sharing has also been found to contribute to global warming.
