ArsTechnica is reporting that the MPAA and RIAA are attempting to convince state Attorney Generals to help them in their quest to protect hapless consumers from all that is P2P file-sharing. 'This represents a new strategy for them, because the states have no jurisdiction in copyright infringement (unless, of course it gets criminalized), but they are charged with protecting the health of their consumer markets.'
