It just never stops, does it? The US Copyright Office "...recommended on Thursday that U.S. law be amended so that companies that rely on copyright infringement to make a profit can be held liable for their actions."
This is another blatant attempt to criminalize technology. While the above proposal sounds reasonable to many at first, it is clearly a slanted statement. There are no companies who rely on their clients being unlawful, but there are companies whose clients at times use a product or service to be unlawful. There is the raging argument, of course, as to whether or not file-sharing should be considered illegal, but it's easier to hack away at rights than it is to address an issue honestly.
