| RIAA Moves Against Santangelo Children |

Shortly after dropping its case against Patti Santangelo, the RIAA has begun more formal action against Santangelo's children. While the recording industry initially started investigating Patti's children earlier this year, things seemed to be held off until Patti's case was dealt with. Even afterwards it was expected by none too few people that the RIAA would back off the very high profile Santangelo family. With all of its lawyers, the RIAA was outclassed by Patti, who defended herself for a large portion of the proceedings being unable to stump for the lawyers fees. After retaining a lawyer after donations pored in from all over the world, it looked like the RIAA couldn't get a thing wrong with Santangelo and her lawyer poking holes in most arguments and generally making RIAA look the fool. This is why I was a little surprised to learn the RIAA was moving for default judgement against Michelle & Robert Santangelo. I suppose the RIAA may be doing this as some form of vindication, but it really isn't going to earn them any goodwill. Add your comment
